Microsoft E3 Leaked Details

It's well into May, which means E3 is right around the corner. As as usual, we've already got a small look at what may possibly be announced through a "leak", which is used loosely since it may not have actually been a leak at all... at least not on accident.

Here is a small list of what to expect:
  • 343 Industries will unveil Halo 2: Anniversary. This is a full (multiplayer included) visual makeover of Halo 2
  • Halo 5 will get its release date.
  • Rare is prepping a re-boot of Perfect Dark into a Third Person Adventure game.
  • Fallout 4 and Call of Duty Advanced Warfare are both multi-platform.

Microsoft To Introduce Xbox One Remote

For those looking to control their media entertainment through a remote not labeled a controller, you're in luck. Microsoft is looking to release a media dedicated remote in March that will handle all their Blu-ray and media streaming tasks right from their couch.

The remote will also let you control the power and volume through Kinect, which communicates directly to your TV and/or receiver. The remote also sports motion-activated back lit buttons to help you out when no lights are present.

The remote is rumored to retail for $25 with no specified release date announced yet, only to be expected in March.

PS4 beating Xbox One 2-1

As we move toward the Christmas holiday, it's safe to say that both Microsoft and Sony are having a good amount of success with their own consoles in the 8th generation of console gaming. Unfortunately, it seems as if Sony is getting the best of Microsoft early in this round, suggesting that the early "bad marketing" in 2013 for Xbox One (online only, no backwards capability, etc) is letting Sony grab the early lead.

While both consoles hit the 1 million mark on their launch day, the PS4 is well-ahead of it's two million launch mark, which indicated that the PS4 is outselling the Xbox One 2-1. It's been reported that that roughly 65K PS4s have been sold through eBay compared to the 33K of Xbox Ones. Xbox One giveaway free today.

Only time will tell if Microsoft can make a push somewhere in the market to reach the household of 50+ million people over the next several years.
